Vivo V21 5G BD Price: Today we’re going to review Vivo V21 5G review, a mid-range device with a MediaTek processor and a 44MP selfie camera, and Vivo V21 5G specifications,
Vivo V21 5G review: With the Y series, Vivo caught our attention quickly. A couple of basic equipment with good performance and with very well optimized software increased my interest in the brand in more competitive markets, and in recent weeks I have been using one of the brand’s new 5G smartphones under the V nomenclature, also waiting may the high-end make its debut sometime in this part of the world. NIUSGEEK has the review of the vivo V21 5G.

vivo V21 5G: a cookie turned into a smartphone
It’s what caught the attention of the team the most in terms of construction. A very thin smartphone compared to equipment in the same category and with tremendous limits for the inclusion of the USB-C port, almost flush with the back cover.
Beyond the distribution of the hardware, which is impeccable in the position of buttons, the finish is very well worked. A very smooth “Dusk Blue” matte plastic adorns the back cover and features the VIVO name on the far side of the camera array, while the plastic trim lifts the look with a reflective surface.
The design has some obvious trade-offs, such as the absence of a stereo speaker system or the exclusion of an infeasible headphone port on that edge. However, all that is forgiven the V21.
vivo V21 5G: a display that has no flaws
With the 90 hertz AMOLED screen, we can get a good idea of what we have in front of us. In combination with the weight and thickness of the equipment, moving on the 6.44 inches of this screen is not a problem.
In this case, we have a prominent drop-shaped notch due to the front camera – we will talk about it – and some thin edges, although not so friendly for side gestures.
En ángulos de visión, este panel puede con todo sin problemas. Bajo el sol, sus 500 nits de brillo son suficientes para el visionado de contenido. La respuesta táctil anda bien, y no tendremos “toques fantasmas” en ningún moment.
Under this panel rests the fingerprint reader, which response with good speed to requests. It is a panel that will comply with everything we launch in content and games.
vivo V21 5G: a well-known software
We’ve already had a chance to go over the conditions of FunTouchOS during our tests with the Y20 series, and Android 11 adds more fluidity to the whole experience. Well, almost all of it.
Beyond the conditions that you can review in the previous review of the live teams, one of the strange points in my coexistence with the team was focused on multitasking. For some reason, you couldn’t switch apps with a side gesture, and you had to move your finger up to activate app carousel scrolling. I had already seen this issue in the Y20, and I have not been able to solve it with this model.
Beyond that, which sorely missed me in the configuration, there are two details to highlight in the software that I did not have the opportunity to test in the Y: the first is a section of “dynamic effects” that customizes each graphic part of the interface, such as fingerprint animation, charging or facial recognition. I was struck by the possibility of highlighting the passage of the finger on the desk. Tremendous and fluid.
The second has to do with the “Always On”. Despite not dethroning Motorola in the use of the off-panel, we have a wide range of animations to customize our panel. In the previous model, I could not test that because it was IPS, but with AMOLED things change.
In terms of security, I have had the equipment updated until September 2021, a manageable parameter between my time of use and the publication of the review.
Another additional topic. The team also allows the increase of virtual RAM, an element that has become common in 2021. This helps the team have an additional breathing space in management, borrowing part of the storage to enhance experiences.
vivo V21 5g: a high-detail selfie
We are facing a triple arrangement of lenses on the back cover that stands out for its 64MP main sensor, accompanied by an 8MP wide-angle and a 2MP macro lens. However, the big draw is ahead, with the 44MP selfie camera. Let’s go slow.
The main sensor does a great job of reproducing color and depth most of the time, but it’s overly demanding at night and has trouble focusing at times. I have had some blurry photos with this lens, I must admit. Not bad if you have patience, and at night the image process suffers a bit.
The macro lens is 2MP. There is not much mystery at this point, since it is the same that is used in all other equipment of the price level. It would have been great to have a 5MP one, but it is what it gets.
The 44MP front-facing camera is tremendous, but it’s mildly temperamental at times for light input. When it focuses, we have a surprising and quality result, also pushed by a double system of LEDs placed at the top of the screen. Despite the large number, it tends to draw some noise at night.
It is a combo of cameras that, for networks, will not fail you in terms of photo and video. I have had the chance to upload several stories with this team, and I have not seen any detail problems.
vivo V21 5G: solvency in every sense
Now we do enter a section in which the team seriously surprises us. We have the Density 800U 5G processor, the same one that incorporates the famous Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T. Unlike that terminal, this Vivo V21 5G adds power in multitasking, something that is evident with daily use.
In terms of connectivity, I have achieved peaks of up to 315 Mbps in 5G and an average of 27 Mbps in upload. By having WiFi AC, the connection to wireless networks is stable, as well as it’s Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity for peripherals and accessories. All is good in this section.
For games, Vivo adds its classic floating interface with which we can review messages, save screenshots and manage smartphone information without leaving the app, in addition to yawning at the terminal to leave it full to play.
In multimedia, the stereo speaker is missed, but the one built into the base is of good power. The AMOLED panel is HDR10 +, so we can enjoy good quality colors in the sources that support this type of content.
The fingerprint sensor goes at a good speed, although it is located a little below the most comfortable zone: two fingers of thickness above the edge. The one that does go very fast is facial recognition, and I have relied on it more at home.
vivo V21 5G: a battery with fast charging
Here comes an issue associated with the thickness of the equipment. We have 4000 mAh, a number that is no longer titanic as it was years ago. However, the combination of a 7-nanometer processor and a 90-hertz AMOLED display allows us to get through the day with a slight spare.
In my tests, I have been able to reach 25% after using it from 6 in the morning until 10 at night, with just over 4 hours of screen time.
Fortunately, we have 33W charging, a speed of more than enough to charge the equipment in just under an hour. Obviously not 5000 mAh, so it charges faster than others.
vivo V21 5G Is it worth it?
I will not deny the first line of this review. The way I live captures my attention in detail and continues to increase, and this V21 5G is evidence of a new major player in the local market. Obviously, the price will always be a decisive element, but do not doubt its quality and performance. Go for him.
