For those who want to spend their time watching quality TV, here are our picks for the top 10 Netflix series, along with a few honorable mentions that didn’t quite make the cut.

The ’80s are back in a big way, and so is everyone’s favorite science fiction series: Stranger Things. This hit show focuses on a small Indiana town after a young boy goes missing under mysterious circumstances, causing everyone from his friends to his family and even local law enforcement to take notice.

The Search for Will Byers provides many twists and turns over its first two seasons, but ultimately proves that sometimes you have to go home again — no matter how dangerous it might be.

When House of Cards debuted in 2013, it was groundbreaking. The series, starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright as Washington power couple Frank and Claire Underwood, broke new ground with its gritty portrayal of political scheming behind closed doors.

It won a slew of awards and nominations for its first season, including four Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Peabody Awards.

In 2014, the show received 12 Primetime Emmy Award nominations for its second season—the most nominated drama series in television history.

To date, House of Cards has received 54 award nominations and eight wins. For those who are fans of political dramas, you’ll love watching Frank and Claire rule over their empire together.

4) (Orange Is the New Black) top 10 Netflix series USA,

The Golden Globe winner for best comedy or musical returns for its sixth season. There’s an exciting moment at Litchfield when a lesser-known character, Yoga Jones (Constance Shulman), reemerges and takes center stage, showing Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and all her fellow inmates that she’s got what it takes to be a force in prison politics.

It’s a rare instance of one of OITNB ‘s secondary characters getting some much-needed development, but there are others who deserve more screen time as well. This includes Flaca Gonzales (Jackie Cruz), who becomes a member of Maritza Ramos’ (Diane Guerrero) crew; Dayanara Diaz (Dascha Polanco), whose relationship with her mother falls apart; and Blanca Flores (Laura Gomez), whose role as Caputo’s assistant leads to unexpected consequences.

These women aren’t just supporting players—they’re fully formed characters with interesting stories of their own, so let’s hope they get some more screentime in Season 6.

5) (Narcos) top 10 best NetFlix series to watch now 2022

On top of being one of Netflix’s biggest successes (the company even has plans for a spinoff series), Narcos is considered by many to be one of its best shows. Although it shares a name with an older show, Narcos was actually inspired by real events.

It tells the story of notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar and chronicles his rise and fall in Colombia over four seasons. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should probably get on that.

The first season is currently available on Netflix. There are three more seasons coming soon—and they look just as good as season 1. Season 2 drops on September 1st. Season 3 will follow sometime in 2019.

6) (Breaking Bad) new Netflix series,

This is one of those must-watch series. Breaking Bad follows Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife and teenage son, who has cerebral palsy.

He was diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a slim chance to survive. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis and a desire to secure his family’s financial security, Walter chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in that world.

The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White’s releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from a mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

The series is produced by High Bridge Productions, Inc., Gran Via Productions, Inc., and Blue Tulip Productions, LLC. It was created by Vince Gilligan. Bryan Cranston plays Walter Walt White.

Cranston has won three consecutive Outstanding Lead Actors in a Drama Series Emmy Awards for his performance: in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Aaron Paul plays Jesse Pinkman, Walter’s former student turned partner in crime.

7) (Jessica Jones) the most-watched Netflix series,

In a world full of superheroes, Jessica Jones is no hero; she’s as flawed as they come. This series is highly acclaimed for its storyline and the acting performance by Krysten Ritter.

The first season received overwhelmingly positive reviews, with Metacritic awarding it 89 percent. Critics are especially fond of its portrayal of what a female superhero may be like in reality—and not just in a fantasy setting like some other shows on TV today.

It explores how women can be strong but also fallible, complex characters who don’t always make the right decisions. If you’re looking for something different from your typical comic book show, then look no further than Jessica Jones. Season 2 was released in March 2018.

Season 3 is set to premiere sometime later in 2019. A fourth season will follow soon after that. Marvel’s Luke Cage: Like Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage features a flawed main character who struggles with addiction and inner demons. Unlike her, however, he uses his powers to fight crime rather than run away from them.

For many fans of Marvel comics or other television series based on Marvel properties (such as Daredevil), there’s little need to explain why Luke Cage is such a big deal.

He’s one of their favorite superheroes turned into an equally badass television character. You’ll enjoy watching him crack jokes while beating up bad guys or charming his way out of sticky situations—but he’ll never do anything too cheesy or unbelievable because he doesn’t have any superpowers outside of his physical strength.

8) (Sense8 is) the best web series on Netflix

The top spot on our list of best Netflix series goes to Sense8, a sci-fi thriller that’s garnered more than its fair share of passionate fans over its two seasons.

Set in multiple locations around the world, Sense8 follows eight strangers who develop a psychic connection—which means they can talk, or even see each other, no matter where they are.

It’s an intriguing premise with a remarkable cast, including Naveen Andrews, Daryl Hannah, and Jamie Clayton. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out now. You won’t regret it. (It helps if you watch all the episodes back-to-back.)

9) (Black Mirror) Netflix web series

Season 4 (Netflix Original)-#1: U.S.S. Callister (best top 10 Netflix series) Black Mirror is a British science-fiction anthology television series created by Charlie Brooker, with Brooker and Annabel Jones serving as the program showrunners.

It examines modern society, particularly with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technologies. Episodes are standalone, usually set in an alternative present or the near future, often with a dark and satirical tone.

The first two series aired on Channel 4; in September 2015, Netflix commissioned a third series of 12 episodes. This was followed by the fourth and fifth series—six episodes each—in 2017 and 2018 respectively. A sixth season has been confirmed for 2019.
